THE PROGRAM:

The Recommender Grants for Theatre Creators program is OAC’s third-party recommender program of grants to theatre creators. Under this program, a number of Ontario theatre companies are given the opportunity to recommend professional Ontario-based theatre creators for grants from the OAC. Apply to GLA as a recommender for your theatre projects! GLA will assess applications for new work from theatre artists and recommend up to 10 applications to the OAC for funding in 2025/26.

PRIORITIES:

Green Light Arts welcomes traditional and non-traditional contemporary projects that inspire critical thinking and present a theme or idea in a bold, new, and exciting way.

ELIGIBILITY:

The program is open to professional theatre artists and ad hoc groups/collectives composed of a majority of Ontario residents. Organizations are not eligible in this program.

FUNDING AVAILABLE FOR GLA TO RECOMMEND:

We have $6,000 to distribute in 2025-2026 on behalf of the OAC. The minimum we recommend is $1,000 and the maximum is $3,000.
