ARTS ADMIN INTERNSHIP
An opportunity to build a skill-set for arts administration and producing with Green Light Arts, a not-for-profit theatre organization in Waterloo Region. Working closely with the Managing Director and the Artistic Director, the Administrative assistant will assist with various aspects of carrying out Green Light Arts’ remaining activities for the 2018-19 Season. Provides hands-on experience in four key areas: theatre producing, volunteer coordination, fundraising, and general theatre administration.
Duties and responsibilities will include:
Assisting the managerial staff in day-to-day operations for the company
Data management and organizing company files including prep for our annual audit
Networking and liaising with various community partners
Assistance with marketing and fundraising initiatives
Attending Green Light Arts events and acting as an ambassador for the company
Support staff for Green Light Arts theatrical events and special events
Recruiting and managing a volunteer base
General office duties as assigned
Timeline and payment
This is a paid position at $14/hour
This internship is 30 hours per week for 9 weeks
Starting May 6, 2019 and ending July 9, 2019
Hours will be tracked by the successful applicant and agreed upon in advance with Green Light Arts
Earnings will be paid bi-weekly through our payroll system and subject to source deductions for income tax, CPP and EI, and will be reported on a T4 slip

This is a third-party recommender program from the Ontario Arts Council. Apply to us with your theatre projects! Green Light Arts will assess applications for new work from theatre artists and recommend up to 10 applications to the OAC for funding in 2018/19.
Green Light Arts welcomes traditional and non-traditional contemporary projects that inspire critical thinking and present a theme or idea in a bold, new, and exciting way.

— Ad hoc groups/collectives composed of a majority of Ontario residents
